Jennifer’s Wedding, 22 September 2018
Hello to you all!!!
I hope you will forgive a joint email, but we are away tomorrow for a week (yaaayyy) and there are so many of you to thank that I think you will not mind sharing this.
A good wedding just cannot happen without a solid reliable team of behind the scene helpers. I know that this was the case. Even with wedding number three it didn’t really get any easier and not having a traditional venue meant a lot of planning. A HUGE HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO YOU ALL. We look forward very much to being able to deservedly recommend each and every one of you.
To Oli Charrington and his terrific team at Alresford Marquees. Another great tent! You haven’t ever let us down. However – sadly for you, but no small relief to us – no more daughters! Thank you for dealing so quickly with the last minute panics of a stressed M of the B. Although the loo’s did come in quite handy…..
To flower lady Hannah Berry and her team of helpers. The flowers were just about the first thing Jenny booked. They were top of her list of priorities and you didn’t disappoint one little bit. They were truly properly beautiful. At the moment the remaining bunches are outside on the garden table en masse, so I can see them from my kitchen window, still looking fantastic. We thought the log ‘altar’ was a triumph. But jolly glad it wasn’t us lighting the candles! I loved the ceremony part of the barn. It worked brilliantly, and exactly what Jen had in mind. As you can imagine I am so looking forward to getting all the logs back to their owners.
To the terrific band Cheesecake. Who played their socks off once again for us all. Loads of peeps saying what a great band. I will admit that when I saw the state of the guests and the dance floor at about 8.30!! I thought to myself OMG will the barn survive ‘til midnight?. Then I thought – What the hell, I’ll have another Jager bomb and then who cares? – My crash point arrived when I realised that if I stopped dancing I’d fall over. You all looked like you were enjoying the mayhem.
Of course to No Fuss – our fantastic caterers. Who absolutely lived up to their name and kept calm when needed, which I think may have been quite a lot. Lovely scrummy food and a lovely bunch of waiters and waitresses. The barman was a particular hit…. I blame him for letting me have X 10 Jager bombs, after a bottle or so of Prosecco over the meal. Nothing to do with any intention on my part to out bomb everyone else. Our sincere apologies for the ubiquitous drunken guest crashing around the dance floor (no not me). There is always one it seems. I hope he was neither rude to any of you or knocked any of you flying as he did to a few of the guests.
To Stella England who did the bride’s hair and the bridesmaids and the sisters. Jen looked top dollar thanks in no small part to you Stella and Lucy. It was a very nice, relaxed and fun house before the wedding.
To Lucy Houghton who did our makeup, beautifully, and persuaded me that false eyelashes may be the way forward. I very rarely look sophisticated, but I reckon that summed me up on Saturday. Until the Jager bombs of course. Sigh….
To every single last person who helped to make such a great day – a great big hug from Emma, Gerry, Jenny and Dan.
We just wanted to send an email now that we are back from our honeymoon to thank you again for playing at our wedding. The band was the highlight of the evening and everyone loved your song selection and ability to play all the songs requested, no matter how random they were! It was great to see everyone up dancing all night and really made our evening. Thank you for also accommodating all the cousins that wanted to sing and the song you did in German. It was really appreciated.
Emily & Karsten
Just a quick word of thanks for the amazing efforts from the band yesterday – and please do pass on my thanks to all those involved.
You were every bit as good as I remembered from a few years back, and we had great feedback from our guests. It really was incredibly slick and a great mix of pop and Irish. It went down so well.
I really hope you got as much of a buzz from the dancefloor as we did being on it!
Many, many thanks–

Just wanted to send a warm thanks to the Cheesecake band for our wedding. They were fantastic and our guests had a wonderful time. Please let me know which websites I can save the review (copied and pasted below) for maximum impact and feel free to use it yourself. Thanks again!
The review is:
We had the Cheesecake band at our wedding reception in May 2018. They are highly professional and attentive to detail in the run up to the big day and Alexis really put my mind at ease. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The band were great and kept the dancefloor heaving for the whole night – even allowing a guest to do a turn on the mic! They really worked the room and played music we had suggested as well as some classics that were hits for everyone from the bridesmaids to the great uncles! Could not recommend them enough and have already been asked by guests about them. Thanks so much!
Laura (Wedding 26 May 2018)
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for being awesome, I clearly loved every minute (don’t think I left the dancefloor). All the guests commented on how great you all were!!
Once again THANK YOU
Cassandra & Alistair

Jessica & Andrew’s Wedding, Saturday 30 September 2017 at The Master Builder’s House Hotel, Brockenhurst
What an absolutely fantastic night. I knew you would be a good band from your video, but you were even better than that! Brilliant music with lots of energy.
Thank you so much for making Jessica and Andrew’s wedding one of the best days of their lives. Jessica said to me half way through that the dancing was exactly what she had wanted. She was very happy.
Unfortunately Roger missed the two of them playing – but we have a great photo – attached.
It was a long way to come so I hope you got back OK and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We had lots of compliments about you.
Thank you very much

Ed’s Amazing, Nautically Themed Birthday Extravaganza, Hampshire, 20 May
Your improvisation and patience as you were man handled around the garden to accompany some marine charades was much appreciated.
Your two sets were fantastic and I am still laughing and proud of stomping through the Proclaimers on the stage with two of my daughters either side of me.
The range of music was fantastic. Your band was everything I had hoped it would be.
Please use me for any reference purposes. I have cc’d Jo Jo who arranges parties.
My apologies for apparently greeting you in a dressing gown on Sunday morning.
Amanda & Mark’s Wedding, 12 May at West Mill, Derby
Sammie & Tom’s Wedding on 31 March at Ramster Hall
Apologies for the lateness in this response, first day back in the office! A quick note to say we massively enjoyed your set at our wedding on the 31st March. It was everything we’d hoped for and more, we got lots of positive comments about your band from all generations involved in the day. It was a great selection of music and I know Sammie enjoyed dancing for as long as her feet could manage!
Thanks for letting me have a go – had been adamant in the lead up to the day that I wasn’t going to sing/play, but once egged on after a beer or two I couldn’t help myself! It’s all a bit of a blur (despite the numerous mobile vids I’ve seen since) so thanks to the guys for tolerating my amateurish efforts and I hope I wasn’t too much of a diva!
We had a great day, wouldn’t have changed anything and we’re so grateful to you for playing such an important part.
All the best,
Tomspan> With thanks and best wishes
Alison’s Mum’s 70th birthday family reunion, 28 Jan at Newbury Golf Club Dear Alexis, Thank you so much for helping make Mum’s surprise party a success and a party that she is still ‘buzzing’ about! I would and will highly recommend you should anyone ask about local bands. I hope your ear is on the mend. Please pass on my thanks and gratitude to all of the band members. With thanks and best wishes Ali

New Year’s Eve Extravaganza – Christine & Rob’s Wedding, Cookham, 31 December 2013 How are you? Good start to year I hope!!
I know I dropped you a quick text but wanted to extended major thanks to you and the band for making our wedding day absolutely awesome! From the moment you arrived at the church to lead the guest to the venue, to the moment you guys counted down to midnight, you captured exactly the atmosphere we were hoping for.
I can’t actually express what an amazing job you did, encouraging me to get up at sing at 5:30 in the afternoon (sorry for my poorly voice!) was just brilliant, as I think that really set the tone for our guests and showed them that we were all ready to celebrate in style!
The range of Irish songs and reels that you played were perfect and certainly got everyone on their feet, mixed with other songs, you managed to cover so many favourites and kept the dance floor full all night. From children to old folks, they were all dancing right up until the end of the evening. I have never seen such a full dance floor at a wedding, with everyone enjoying the mix of music and having so much fun.
We had some many great comments from our guests about you guys during the night and even now we are receiving thank you cards from our them, telling us how much they loved the band!! (I thought we were the ones that needed to send thank you cards!)
On a personal level, it was really important to me to get the music right and I have to say, I knew yourself and your band would be great but you surpassed my expectations, I didn’t want to leave the dance floor at all. Alexis, leading up to the wedding you did a great job keeping me sane and it was so great that we could come and see you guys at some of your gigs leading up to the big day. You and the band are such lovely people and really got everyone into the party mood.
Both Rob and myself really can’t thank you enough, in our opinion you made the day for us!!!
We have lots of pictures of you guys and some recording, so happy to pass some on to you if you would like us too.
Please pass on my sincere thanks to the band as well.
Thank you so much for helping us make some amazing memories.
Christine & Rob
Joint 18th and 21st birthday party, 28 December 2013 Dear Alexis and band. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening on Saturday. Every generation loved music with some of the oldies admitting that they had not willingly danced like they did on Saturday for many years! Was so pleased that the multi generation party worked. One of our guests was an events manager so hope you may get some business through her. She was enjoying a few jives herself. If you ever need a reference do feel free to get in touch. Many thanks again and best wishes for 2014. From Diana xxx Alice and Phil’s wedding, 26 October at Eltham Palace Hi Alexis, I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to you and the band for last Saturday. We had an absolutely fantastic day and the music in the evening was brilliant. All of our guests commented on how fantastic you all were and you know its going well when you have people from 3 years to 90 years all on the dance floor!!! Thanks again, Alice and Phil Charlotte & Will’s wedding, 19 October, Hill Pace, Swanmore: Dear Alexis, On behalf of my husband and I!!!!! I just want to thank you ever so much for Saturday night, it truly was amazing. I know the space was a little tough but it honestly looked great on the night. EVERYONE has commented on how fantastic you were and all the singletons want you for their wedding! I also hear that Will and Becks are booking you up and I hope we get invited! The first dance was brilliant better than the original! Thanks for letting me sing although the 3rd song I attempted completely sloshed was not the best idea J We really cant thank you enough for everything and wish you all the best in the future. Best wishes Will & Charlotte Howden Saturday 10 August, Colette & Andy’s wedding: Dear Alexis and the Cheesecake band, We would just like to thank you all so much for playing at our wedding on 10th of August earlier this year. You guys were absolutely incredible, everything we could have hoped for and much more. Choosing a wedding band can be so difficult – you want to cater for a wide range of people, and try and make sure that everyone enjoys the music and everyone gets up our of their seats to dance – so it’s a real leap of faith, you just don’t know how it’s going to be until you’re right there on the day. Within minutes of the band starting the set you had everyone on the dance floor – and they didn’t leave until you’d stopped playing! The music was perfect, really lively and fun, and great for getting everyone out of their seats – we loved how you were so enthusiastic with the crowd, and we had so much fun when you got us up on stage to sing! You were by far the highlight of the reception – everyone at the wedding came up to us to say how incredible you were and how much they enjoyed the music, and some of our guests have been trying to book you for their wedding next year! We both feel so lucky that we managed to find you and that you could make it. We still can’t believe you even managed to learn our first dance with only a week’s notice – it’s our absolute favourite song ever, and for you guys to be able to play it for us really meant so much. We hope you enjoyed it too – we feel so terrible that you guys got lost on the way to the field (we were both so caught up in the day, we didn’t even realise) – we really hope you managed to get enough to eat and drink too. I’ve in-bedded some pictures below from the reception for you to see – they were taken by our photographers, Peach & Jo – if you needed any for advertising etc. get in touch with them and they might be able to help. Thank you all again so much, we had such a perfect day and we really couldn’t have asked for a better band to play at our wedding. Best wishes to you all, take care, Colette and Andy (Mr and Mrs!!) What a fabulous night! We have had nothing but praise for Cheesecake’s performance and great array of songs dedicated to our Brit Pop evening. So many parents have said how wonderful you were and one even told us it made them want to plan a party! Great night, great set and thanks for helping to make our party a huge success! Please pass our thanks on to the band Alexis and we hope you get a few bookings from it, as everyone was very impressed. Thanks again and hopefully see you at another event! Tracy and Lou Louise & Ben’s wedding, 6 April 2013 Dear Alexis Just a short note before we head off on honeymoon to say thank you so much to you and the other band members for all your hard work on Saturday, we thoroughly enjoyed dancing to your music, and you managed to hit a balance which got everyone on the dance floor! It was just the best night for us ever, and you guys really contributed to the great atmosphere. So many people asked who you were so we’ll be sure to pass on details! Thanks also for setting up so seamlessly, and for helping Ed play his playlist in between times. With best wishes Louise and Ben Anna and Stuart’s wedding, 2 April 2013 Hi Alexis, We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you, we had the most perfect wedding day and you and Cheesecake contributed to the perfectness! Cheers, Barry 4 Jan 2013 for Rob & Hannah’s wedding at Northbrook Park: Thank you so much for an amazing night on Friday – everyone loved the 1st dance and Rob was thrilled his sister was able to sing. I’ve not seen Rob play drums before – it was superb! We will send a proper thank you, but I wanted to say it was tremendous, thank you so much! Kind regards, Hannah & Rob 14 December: Crazy Christmas party for PTA of my kid’s school (my one charitable contribution to the PTA). Venue: Guildford Golf Club Hi Alexis, Just really can’t thank you and your band members enough for the brilliant job you did on Friday night. We’ve had so much excellent feedback on you all. Everybody, including the 3 of us, had such a good time. You’ve made us look like heroes for getting you involved as well as raising loads of money for the school. We hope you enjoyed the evening a little bit as much as we did and if we can do anything to help with promoting your band please let us know – you’ve got 95 parents from Friday night on side already. Having the fiddler and the Irish slant worked so brilliantly – really good call on your part. Please send over an invoice and we’ll get that all paid up. You have been so generous with all of this I just hope you manage to get something out of it for yourself – we’re already under pressure to use you again. I still think the ceilidh idea could be fab – we won’t expect mate’s rates next time. Thanks again Alexis and look forward to seeing you off duty in the pub tonight. Helen, Victoria and Lesley x
School Newsletter (oh yeah!)
Christmas Social This was a great night of unleashing (Gangnam Style) for us parents after all our hard work this term. Fellow parent, Alexis Ashford, generously donated his absolutely brilliant Cheesecake Band to entertain us and keep us dancing throughout the evening. With this donation and an impromptu raffle we actually raised £725 from the evening - a very enjoyable way of raising money. Perhaps we should also be 'proud' that Guildford Golf Club recorded record takings at the bar!
Note from Alexis: Overly kind words as I didnt really donate the band exactly. though they did play for a lot less than usual. 20 October: Daniel and Jen’s wedding, The Quay, Poole
A-MAZ-ING job last night. Your guys blew everyone away and really made the night a blast! I wanna get married again just to book you again… just dont tell the wife!! – Daniel Lyons

Please thank the rest of the band from us. With all best wishes, Sarah P.S. Maybe see you again at a possible wedding in the future! But hopefully not too soon! Sat 24 June 2012: Maddie’s wedding at Gate St Barn Dear Alexis, I am so sorry it has taken me such a long time to get round to actually sending you an email, but I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and the rest of the band for performing at my wedding back on 24th June at Gate Street Barn. You did an amazing job of Wonderwall for our first dance, it really was special. I loved the way you then went straight into A Crazy Little Thing Called Love – you remembered that my family our massive Queen fans, so thank you!! Rob and his Dad also really appreciated you playing a Neil Young song (I am also pleased you only played the one!!!!). That was one of their highlights anyway. Apparently my little cousin also loved the rendition of Bob the Builder!! You did a great job of interacting with our guests and playing the right tunes to suit the mood of the crowd. I loved the ‘exit’ bit for us as well, thank you for encouraging everybody to do the arch for us. Thank you for making our wedding just that bit more special, it really did make all the difference having a great live band. Warm regards, Maddie Marchment Sat 16 June 2012: Wedding anniversary event for Karen. Hi Alexis, I just wanted to thank you (again) for providing such a marvellous night of entertainment on Saturday. It was fantastic and we’ve had lots of lovely comments from our friends about you. Can you please pass on my thanks to the others, Rory, Jonty and Ben – they were all terrific and what a lovely bunch of boys you all are! If we ever have another party (doubtful as we’ll need save up for years to do that again) we’ll call on you again and we’ll def recommend you to anyone who might be looking for a band! Had more nice comments this morning from friends: ‘the band were terrific’ and one friend said ‘I even managed to get a dance with my husband, all credit to the great band’! Thanks again, karen Sat 3 June for Jon and Louise’s wedding Louise and I want to thank you and the guys so much for making our wonderful wedding day have a fantastic celebration in the evening! You were frickin awesome!!! Each and every guest loved you and over the last few weeks, when talking about the wedding with people, everyone has raved about “how good the band was”! What’s more, some have asked me for your contact details, so hopefully you’ll get some more work off the back of it. I think I heard that someone took a card from you with a view to a future event. I’m also really glad that I was badgered (yeah, right!) into getting up on stage to sing ‘Babylon’. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think it was better that we hadn’t planned anything because the spontaneity of it meant that I didn’t have a build-up of nerves! My mother-in-law has teased me and told her friends that I’d been rehearsing for months! I hope all is going well for you. All the best, Jon Sank Sat 2 June 2012, Wedding of Danny & Louise, Chigwell Hi Alexis, We just wanted to say a really big thank you for playing at our Wedding on Saturday 2nd June. You were fantastic and we had an amazing time dancing the night away! All our guests commented on how great you guys were and the dance floor was never empty! Thank you also for learning our first dance, we really appreciated it. We will recommend you to our friends and family and we will be down to Kingston soon to see you. All the best, Danny and Louise. Sat 6 May 2012: Jim and Kate’s wedding, Petersfield Cheesecake!! You guys were brilliant. You got the mix just right. We’d have you again like a shot to the next and final daughter’s wedding (please God a couple of years away yet), or any other do requiring lots and lots of good tunes and laid back band members. I think you could see that everyone had a grand time. M of the B made an eejit of herself on the dance floor but staged a miraculous recovery from nearly hurtling headlong into the bar. I attach a pic of her best mate, that mad woman in the green dress, in a fairly typical pose……horizontal, plus a couple of others including Katie’s best mate after catching the bouquet, which is almost my favourite pic. Sat 21 April 2012: Rob and Clare’s wedding, Northbrook Park Hi Alexis, Just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing at our wedding last month. We had a fantastic time and everyone loved you guys! Thanks also for playing the songs that we requested – they all seemed to go down really well. We’ll definitely be recommending you to all our friends (there seem to be quite a few weddings in our friendship group at the moment!). We’ll probably also pop down to Kingston at some point and come and see you one Thursday night. ps, I noticed that you took a couple of photos during the evening. If there are any good ones, could you share them? No worries if not. thanks again, Rob. Sat 7 April 2012: Sarah and Michael Mohan’s wedding, Gorse Hill Hotel Dear Alexis Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thank you so much for playing at our wedding on the 7th April. We had such an amazing time and the highlight of the evening do was the band and the boogying on the dancefloor!! All our guests old and young alike have been raving about the band and all wish you could have played for longer!! Thank you again for being a part of our big day and making it extra special for us -the Irish music went down a treat with all the guests from Northern Ireland – i think some of them were reluctant to leave the dancefloor and go to bed at the end of the night!!! No doubt w’ll be back in O’Neills to see you play again soon – no doubt with an army of supporters from the reception!!!! Thanks again Sarah and Michael Mohan Patricia and Gary, Hanley Tennis Club, 31 March 2012 Dear Alexis, Gary and I , and all the guests, would like to thank you and the other members of the band for your wonderful playing. Best wishes Patricia Kate and Rob, The Riverstation, Bristol 21 Jan 2012 Hi Alexis, We had a great time at our wedding, thank you and the band so much for helping to make it such great fun, as you could see everone else really enjoyed themselves too! There was a good mix of people on the dancefloor, even if it was very small. I really appreciated that you were able to be completely felxible and fit in with how the day went… especially as we did run a bit late. And the choice of music was perfect. I’m still surprise you knew ‘I Am the One and Only’! We hope you had a good night too. Best Wishes Kate and Rob Anthony & Tanya’s wedding, Wednesday 28 December 2011 Alexis and the team We are just heading off on honeymoon but wanted to say a huge thank you to you for being part of our special day and being so easy to work with and we loved the music and had some great feedback from the guests. Happy New Year ! Take care Tanya & Anthony Dan & Julia, Fanhams Hall Hotel, Ware, Sat 3 December 2011 Hi Alexis. Just wanted to thank you for a great night last night and for letting me join in with you. It was a unique performance and made it that little bit more special. I hope everything was good for you and the guys too. I presume you got enough money as I didn’t count it personally. If there are any issues please let me know. Thanks again, Dan & Julia Alison & Pete’s wedding at Gate St Barn, 19 November 2011 We just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you properly for appearing at our wedding last month. The day was fantastic and when we thought things couldn’t get any better, you guys turned up and were just simply sensational. We really liked the music and you are all incredibly talented, but I think what made it so special was the way you reacted to the guests and knew how to get them up, dancing, singing and just generally having an enjoyable time. Thanks again for making our special day so memorable and for giving an amazing peformance. All the best for the future. Peter & Alison Martha and Christopher’s wedding at Syon Park, 17 September 2011 Dear Alexis, Thank you so much for playing at our wedding on September 17th! Sorry for such a belated thank you – I wanted to send you a photo (see attached), which we’ve only just got. We also have loads of other really great ones of you guys (see link attached). We really appreciated the fact that you learnt our first dance song at such short notice, and it sounded AMAZING!! And then you played the whole way through and were just so good. Everyone was having such a good time – although I am not sure of some the dancing displayed by my family during the “dance off” your Irish jig stimulated! Thank you also for letting my sister sing with you – it was really special for me to have her do a song! Thank you so much again – we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others. Please pass my thanks on to Jonty and the rest of the band! Best wishes, Martha Nick, agent for Martha and Christopher’s wedding at Syon Park, 17 September 2011 Hi Alexis, Many thanks for the good work on Saturday. The bride’s mother has said you were fantastic so many thanks to you and the band. I’ll be in touch again soon…. Kind regards, Nick. Arlina & Tim at the Walled Garden, Cowdray park, 11 September 2011 Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Cheesecake band for such an amazing evening of musical fun at our wedding. Everyone kept asking us how we found the band, and I can’t think of a moment when the dancefloor was actually empty – everyone couldn’t resist rocking and rolling (and sometimes jiving) to the band! The band just knew how to get the crowd dancing, right from young toddlers to the older folks! The musical selection was perfect and people have been requesting the playlist since (we have forwarded a link to the band’s website). Also, thank you so much for learning our first dance song – it made the evening so memorable. Thank you so much for all your help and please extend our thanks to the band members on the day, Many thanks Arlina & Tim A very happy bride and groom P.S Thank you to the band for letting my sister and her friend help them sing at one point in the evening! Lorraine and Rob, Gate St Barn, Bramley, 9 September 2011 Hi Alexis We had a fab time and received a large number of positive comments regarding how good the band was so a big thank you. Yes we have the camera, we are away from today back on the 24th so anytime after the 24th, weekday evening or weekend in the day. Catch up soon Best wishes Lorraine Kate and Nathanael, Sevenoaks, 3 September 2011 Just a quick email to say a massive thank you for the music you guys provided at our wedding reception. We only got back from honeymoon at the beginning of the month and we have taken some time to get ourselves sorted before contacting people. The music was brilliant. We much prefer live bands to DJs and you guys did not disappoint. We are so grateful that you were able to play our choice of first-dance too. Rather unfortunately it would appear that some bugger actually recorded it – you sound great, whereas my dancing looks awful! A substantial number of our guests who we have been able to talk to have commented on the band too – all good. I do know that one of the guests has recommended your band to her friend who is getting married sometime soon. Many thanks for allowing one of the bridesmaids to “sing”…I know that that performance was also recorded and when she sees it she may realise that a singing career is not on the cards. I’m also glad that “Lady in Red” did not appear on the set list. Thanks once again, and best of luck for the future. Nathanael and Kate Katy and Clement at Gatton Hall, 23 July 2011 Dear Alexis, May we say a huge thank you to yourself and the band for being so superb at our wedding at Gatton Hall on 23rd July. Everyone commented on the fab choice of music and you guys being great in general. We really appreciate the fact that you just came in, set up etc without any fuss and got everyone up dancing! Please may you pass on our gratitude and thanks to everyone else. You were certainly worth every penny! Thanks again and best wishes, Katy and Clement Donegan Alexis, Capt & Mrs Rutledge, 9 July 2011 I’m back from honeymoon and owe you a long overdue thank you for the wedding! Is it possible to leave feedback on your website? One of the comments from the guests was “if Carlsberg made wedding bands, they’d probably be this band”. Absolutely everyone from grandchildren to grandparents was up dancing all night and all my family and friends there said they will try and book you for any parties and weddings they have in the future. We could not have asked for more. Many thanks from Lucy and I, the band were perfect for our wedding and cheers for staying around until I reloaded the iPod after my brother managed to wipe it! Regards Stu Shane, Vicky Nigel Sturgess joint birthday, 2 July 2011 Hi Alexis A massive thank you for being so brilliant on Saturday night. We really enjoyed the music and have had many compliments from our friends and family. You played something for everyone which we all loved. Tim and I had such an amazing day, apart from the rain, and we will be talking about it forever, the music certainly played a big part of it. We have just about recovered now and are back on the boat working, it’s not all bad though as at least the sun is shining here. Thank you again for helping make our day so special Sibylla and Tim Catrin and Ben 11 June 2011 Dear Alexis, Everyone, young and old, enjoyed dancing to me on Saturday. A really fun, varied programme. And what a finale- persuading Catrin and Ben to do their rock duet!! Many thanks. PS. We have found a blue guitar strap, which we assume is one of yours. Please let us know what you’d like us to do with it. Trefor Llewellyn (Catrin’s Dad) Claire and Russell 28 May 2011 Hi Alexis, How are you? We would just like to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you for your performance on sat. It really made our night. We had so many people asking us where we found such a great band. Everyone loved the music and the dance floor always seemed busy which was what we wanted. Really appreciate how long you played live and how well your set worked. Hope you guys enjoyed your evening as much as we did? Did you manage to get some of the wedding cake? I meant to bring some over to you guys but was a little drunk. Hope you made the most of the buffet as the Hotel provided way too much food. Thanks again guys, will defo recommend you to anyone looking for a band in the future and will keep you top of our list for any future events. All the best Claire and Russ Wayne 22 May 2011 Hi Alex A big thank you for the gig at short notice yesterday. You made the party! It was Amazing! Thank you so much. One of my friends wants to find out if you are free on Friday 1st of July, Saturday 2nd of Sunday the 3rd. I will see you on O’Neil’s. When are you playing? Maria Gina D’Arcy 21 May 2011 Dear Alexis, please forgive the delay in writing to thank you and the Band very much indeed for entertaining us at the Auriol Kensington Rowing Club in London. It was great that you could accompany my husband’s arrival by water with some sea shanties, it all captured everyone’s attention, even the adjacent pub customers were reaching for their mobiles to photo the possible celeb! As you probably realised the evening all turned out to be a total surprise for Simon but the icing on the cake was definitely the Band-the fiddler added a new dimension to all the music and EVERYBODY commented on how good you all were-witnessed by the dance floor being packed once you got started and staying that way until the reluctant end. I am sorry I did not get to say goodbye and to thank you personally, I would highly recommend you not only for the quality and range of your music but for really engaging with the guests- a real skill. Kind regards, Gina Kat & Phil, 14 May 2012 Bury Court Barn We wanted to thank you and the band for playing at our wedding. You guys were just brilliant, and everyone commented on how good you all were at keeping everyone on their feet! We had a really great night, and we hope you enjoyed it too. I’ve attached a few pictures from the night taken by Marcus, our photographer. Phil and I are happy for you to use the pictures however you’d like, but if you do use them for publicity they are copyright Marcus Dodridge, so you’ll probably need to approach him to get his permission too. Many thanks, Kat + Phil Karen, 4 March 2011 Sorry I didn’t get a chance to chat with you on Friday night, but you were going down a storm by the time we left. Absolutely loved the fiddler and dancing at the beginning really makes me want to organise a barn dance here as I think it would be a great success. Will get some feedback from Helen over the next few days but it looked like everybody was having a ball, well done and you all looked great at the back of the barn! There was 2 couples who stopped by for a drink to hear you play so hopefully you might pick up some more business from it as well, but I loved it, my husband loved the Jackson can you feel it cover! Regards karen Helen and Daniel 4 March 2011 Mrs Aaron here!! Hen and stag – done. Wedding – done. Honeymoon in Paris – done. Heavens!…. what’s next???!!!! A MASSIVE THANK YOU to you and the guys (and caller gal!) for what was the best night of our lives… so cliched but true! I’d like to give you formal feedback for your website with a couple of pics if that would help… let me know. Anyway, I have a card for you but no address… can I have one to send it on? I have so much to say and thank you doesn’t really sum it all up! But thank you! Stephanie & Gavin Dec 2010 I just wanted to say thanks to you and the band for the exquisite job you did at our wedding! Everyone has been commenting on how much fun you were and we just loved how you engaged our guests the entire time! Thanks again, firstname.lastname@example.org “Sorry I didn’t get chance to say thank you and good bye on Saturday so just wanted to drop you a line to say a massive thank you! You guys totally made our wedding reception and we had the most amazing night. We have had so many people comment on how fab you guys were from letting my brother amonst other sing with you to the way played everyones requests and such a great and professional group of lads to boot!. I can’t sing your praises enough. Again Thanks.” Nina & Lee 13/11/10 “What can I say? You guys were great, everyone loved you guys! Again, we would like to thank you for all your hard work! You were an asset to the running of the whole day. We will give you glowing feedback Wish you all the best for the future. Speak to you soon.” Saba & Grant 25/9/10 “Just a quick (rather belated!) thank you for all your help with our first dance at our wedding. We were really pleased with how it went…..and it seriously made people laugh as the definitely didn’t expect that! Also your band ‘Cheesecake’ went down very well with us and we have had lots of very positive compliments on the wedding band so I just wanted to pass that on. Thanks again and best of luck fir the future – we will defo bear you in mind if we need a band in the future!!” Rebecca & Nick, 11/9/10 I intended to write you a proper thank you letter (in ink on paper!) but in the catching up this week, I realise now that it would not get to you in a timely manner so I’m e-mailing instead and hope you don’t think that is inadequate. “Ken & I want to thank you very much for your great performance(s) on Saturday. The acoustic set was really lovely, I hope people did compliment you at the time – they have certainly mentioned it to me since so if you felt you were playing to an empty tent, please let me assure you that your performance added immeasurably to the ambience of the wedding at that stage. And the band set was fantastic…we were all very impressed by the quality of your performance, your ability to judge the mood at any stage, the huge variety on your play list and your stamina! I don’t think you had a break all night. And I’m sure you noticed that the dance froor was packed. And the ipod disco management before all the band arrived and at the very end was very professional. Sarah and Nick could not possibly have found a better band for their wedding. We are getting compliments from all our guests about the wedding as a whole, which we (admittedly biased! ) we thought was the best ever. That view has kindly also been exprressed but many of our guests and they have also particularly mention Cheescake. We had a few people from the music business within our guest groups and they were also genuinely impressed with your performnace. If you want to use any of this in your testimonials, then please feel free to do so. We wouldn’t have wished for a better band…absolutely spot on. Very many thanks,” Ken & Penny Lloyd (father and mother of the bride!) 19/6/10 “I want to give you my heartfelt thanks, not only for the superb job you did on the night itself, but for the way you dealt with my questions, anxieties, changes of plan, and micro management, in the days and weeks leading up to our wedding day. We had such particular ideas about all aspects of the music we wanted, but I now realise we need not have worried at all!” Kate and Paul Stevenson 20/6/09 “We will never forget the way you guys handled a packed dance floor of my crazy friends and family, juggling my mad Aunt Lucy singing ‘Its Raining Men’, playing off the cuff requests without blinking, and handling stage invasion by my Uncle Phil without missing a beat! That night will be talked about in our family for years to come.” Liz and Guy Saunders 4/4/09 “What a superb night! Cheesecake provided the perfect finish to a very successful launch party. ” Dave McClements, Greencore consulting, 4/12/09 “I have never seen my father-in-law dance before, let alone sing! I’m not sure I ever want to again either, but the band absolutely made the evening come alive, and we still talk about it six months on!” Amanda Mason, 22/8/09 “We have started a trend! We should be charging you guys commission for the amount of work we have put your way!” Tim & Sally Davis, 23/4/09 “If there is one thing I would say to any bridezillas out there (and I should know because I am one) it’s this: If you are lucky enough to see this band play before your wedding day, you know you have one less thing to worry about! With Cheesecake, your night is in safe hands.” Anna Brodie 1/8/09 They were everything we could have wished for. Everyone’s been talking about what a great band we had! Thanks again and best wishes Jo and Andy , July 09 Dawn and I would just like to thank all of you for playing at our wedding on the 24th April and helping to make it a huge success. We have had so many comments from our guests about how great you guys were and I know that people have asked for your details with a view to booking Rollercoaster for a future event. Your playing was amazing especially the first dance, and the way you were able to incorporate the singing of me, my mum, sister and brother in law… plus keeping the Irish dancing contingent happy was amazing. I know that the venue was chuffed that you managed to keep the dance floor packed all night. It was the first time they had used the room and it proved a massive success. Anyway thank you again, you a very talented group and we wish you all the best in the future. Best wishes, Adam & Dawn Lucuk April 2009 I just wanted to drop you and the band a brief note to say thank you so much for playing such an amazing set at our wedding a few weeks back. Anyway, I hope you and the band also enjoyed the evening and my mates were lively enough for you. All the best and maybe we’ll see you down in Kingston sometime or at one of my mates Wedding’s! I have a few friends getting married next year, so i think you might be getting a few requests! It really made the day for us, and you created an unbelievable atmosphere on the dance floor, we have some great pictures especially from my dad with his air guitar!! We finally finished up about 4.30 i think! Also just checking the money was sorted out and that we don’t owe you any more? I think we will have to have an anniversary party next year! Thanks once again. Cressy and Stu,September 09. Just wanted to drop you a line to thank you so much for putting on such a great show at our wedding on the 6th June. From talking to you we hoped you were going to be good, but you never quite know… but in fact you were amazing! Whether you were belting out “Sweet home Alabama”, or ripping off “Volare”, or getting everyone stomping to “500 miles”, each tune was a hit. “Livin’ on a prayer” was brilliant… a little sweaty for me, but brilliant. As you can imagine, my relatives have seen me in something of a new light! You even managed to carry us through a lengthy solo first dance to “Crazy Little thing Called Love”, getting people geed up enough to not leave us stranded there too long! Everyone has said how fantastic the music was. It’s so important to the way the party goes, but you judged it perfectly and absolutely made our day. At one stage we popped out for some air and took a turn around the marquee… looking in through the windows we could see that literally everyone was on the dance floor! I think that says it all. Please pass on our deepest thanks to all the rest of the band. I hope you’re still going for our 25th anniversary, we’d love to have you play again! Thanks again so much Tom and Jo Stockman Jun 2009 We both wanted to say a huge thankyou for playing on Saturday and also for being so patient when we were running late!
